The conception of a multisensory experience establishes innovation, a
vanguarde arts and culinary art as the embrace and enhancement of creativity.
The Roca Brothers reveal a "Theatrical Theme",
a Culinary Opera, constituted by several components, which harmoniously combined and
structured, emerge, intending to evolve our point of view, refering to
the dining procedure.
Joan Roca characteristically emphasizes their excitement about being gradually led to this concept of
technique of cooking’s involvement in vanguard arts, in order to reach people’s emotions.
Renowned music director Zubin Mehta, one of their numerous collaborators, describes the melodious replacement of silent
moments by a violin, a piano, and music in general.
For this extended ‘musical’ operation, the creation of a libretto, would obviously be a special composition and a challenge.
Projecting images into the dishes, the surroundings and the table, accompanying the concept with the
appropriate music and awakening all the senses, becomes a playful experience, a synergy that reflects the emotions of the creators.
They will tell us a story, dreaming with their head up in the clouds, dressing it with letters and poetry,
breaking the crystal of culinary silence... In their own way.
