A "gang" of the word's foremost culinary leaders participates in an unprecedented event which will take place on some of the world's renowned restaurants at the same time.

Ode to creativity.

The ambitious project, supported by San Pellegrino, will finally be brought to life in July 9th and its creators intend to explore the individual creative culinary identity of 37 chefs, but not any chefs...

Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle, that's what I' m talking about...

Andrea Petrini and Alexandra Swenden brought once more together some of the world's "cutting edge" chefs in order to push their boundaries and be part of an exceptional culinary celebration.

Each one of them traveled to the country of destination only 3 days prior to the event in order to prepare an 8 course menu. And that's the easy part...

What about the ingredients for every dish?

Well, none of them is taken from home, so chefs will have to combine their culinary approach to destination's energy. In addition, the name of the visiting chef will remain a mystery and will only be revealed at the completion of the meal.

No Fear...

The concept is considered as one of the most interesting of the year because it's absolutely one of a kind. The chefs firstly willingly participated in a global lottery and afterwards were transported to different restaurants and countries where they'll also take a glimpse of their colleagues' lives, so visiting chefs will not only swap kitchens, but will also swap daily lives, residing in their colleagues' homes, driving their cars and dining with their families for a truly immersive cultural experience.

The event promotes standards as collaboration, lack of fear and ego and exchange of knowledge. Personally selected by Petrini, each chef was chosen for his or her unique approach to cooking, "It was an impossible task and I would have been happy to double the number of participating chefs, but logistically it was not tangible.

He also added: "The line-up for this performance is a family of chefs, who take risk as a starting point, that are neither fearful of creativity, nor driven by ego, but are fuelled by a desire to explore," said Andrea Petrini.

"The result has been incredible. A coming together of legendary names of the gastronomic world, side by side with some lesser known, but equally exciting 'indie' talent."
